The Feast of Booths, Succoth, will be held by the Congregation of YHWH at Group Camp #1 in Murray State Park, Oklahoma. The evening of October 22nd marks the beginning of this feast. We will be at the campsite from October 21st to the 31st, in order to observe this first high day and last great day.

The following schedule is tentative and subject to change. We will notify everyone of any changes immediately through Facebook, and subsequently, Twitter.

 Important Information

ONLY ONE OFFERING WILL BE TAKEN UP DURING THE FEAST, ON THE FIRST DAY AT MORNING SERVICES.

Breakfast will be provided and ready each day of the feast, Tuesday through Tuesday. It will consist of:

  • Various dry cereals

  • Hot cereal (cream of wheat/oatmeal/grits)

  • Toast, English Muffins, Bagels

  • Variety Fruit

  • Cream cheeses

  • Yogurt

  • Milk, juice, coffee

All meals are free. Donations put in the Food Fund envelope (available throughout the feast) will be put toward the cost of providing wholesome breakfast, lunch, and dinners.

The kitchen is well appointed with cooking utensils and is open for anyone to use. You are welcome to bring your own food and prepare it. Each person is responsible for cleaning up after themselves; especially after using the kitchen. Please be sure that the dining and kitchen areas are cleaner when you leave it than when you found it.

SPECIAL NOTICE

  1. No one is allowed in the dining hall during the sermon or study. If you're not participating in services, we ask that you at least not be in the dining hall.

  2. No outside drinks in the meeting hall, with the exception for a drink in a spill-proof sippy cup or bottle for those under the age of two.

    • A water dispenser and disposable cups will be in the meeting hall for those who need it. Please take care of your trash when finished. Do not leave cups unattended.

  3. The only services that are planned to be live streamed are the sabbath day's bible study and sermon, and the last fireside bible study (Monday, Oct. 29th).

  4. Remember that all of the cabins should cleaned (swept and mopped) and vacated by 10 O'CLOCK IN THE MORNING (10am CST) on WEDNESDAY OCTOBER 31st.

We are planning on holding the children's and teens' classes in a blended environment again. It will be taught and supervised on rotation by: Amara DeFelice, Jacob DeFelice, and Kristin Netters. Children and teens are asked to show up on time prepared and ready to learn, create, and discuss. If your child cannot participate in Wednesday's hike (at 2 PM), please inform Amara DeFelice by the beginning of lunch that day.

There will be no classes on Family Day or the first and last high days.

Family Day is trying something new. We will be hosting a variety of stations that will include activities that a person of any age can enjoy. There will be:

  • craft table

  • landscape painting

  • lawn games

    • bean bag toss

    • horse shoes

    • volleyball

  • journalism scavenger hunt

  • glow stick party (night event)

These activities will run from 10 AM to 2 PM. Enjoy being together, with no generational boundaries. Children, teens, adults, and elders, have fun being brethren!

Every fireside discussion will have the opportunity to roast kosher marshmallows. This allows the youth to listen in on these after dark bible studies while creating a special bond over tasty treats. Glow sticks and washable (skin safe) glow paint will be provided on Sunday's fireside discussion time.

Remember to bring bug spray, because there will only be a few citronella candles around the campfire area.

Pictures will be taken throughout the course of the feast by many people. This especially includes Amara, who will be posting many of them to our website and social media. If you do not want your picture taken and posted online, please let Amara know on Tuesday, October 23rd. She will ensure that if your picture is taken, that it will not be uploaded online (if you do happen to see one, just ask, and it will be taken down).

A group picture will be taken for the 2018 Congregation of YHWH calendar on Monday, October 29th. The time is to be announced. Please come and pose with us for marking the end of another wonderful year praising Yahweh's name.
